About The Red Tent Fund

Our Story
The Red Tent Fund, founded in 2024, is a nonprofit national abortion fund rooted in the Jewish values and teachings that affirm the right to abortion for all.
We fund abortions across the United States for anyone who needs care, with no restrictions on religion, identity, income, gestational age, or any other factors.
Jewish Values in Action
Translating Faith into Reproductive Freedom
The Jewish community has long championed abortion rights, with over 80% of Jewish adults supporting legal abortion in all or most cases – a position rooted in Jewish laws, teachings, and values. Building on this legacy, the Red Tent Fund emerged as the first Jewish abortion fund providing direct support to those seeking care. We represent a natural evolution of the Jewish community’s historic commitment to reproductive freedom, translating values into immediate action. While grounded in Jewish principles and resources, the Red Tent Fund serves all who need assistance, regardless of their background or beliefs.
We exist today because of a core belief in our values.
Our Origins
Together, we make this possible.
On October 7, 2023, Jews and non-Jews were attacked and subjected to atrocities including murder, sexual violence, and hostage-taking. When many abortion organizations’ responses left Jewish supporters feeling forced to choose between their Jewish identity and their commitment to reproductive rights, founder Allison Tombros Korman resigned from the DC Abortion Fund and wrote about experiencing antisemitism in the abortion movement. Her story resonated – an outpouring of similar experiences revealed the urgent need for an abortion fund operating through a Jewish lens, without political litmus tests. The Red Tent Fund was created to unite Jewish values with direct abortion access, ensuring no one would have to choose between their identity and their commitment to reproductive rights.
